The 5-Star DE&I Awards launched in 2022 to recognize and celebrate companies in the insurance industry that have created effective DE&I programs to foster positive change and promote a culture where everyone feels valued and supported.

Alliant鈥檚 DE&I team is dedicated to advancing equitable representation and fostering a sense of belonging both within the company and across the insurance industry. Through impactful development initiatives, inclusive culture-building programs, growing employee resource groups, and strategic community partnerships, Alliant continues to create a workplace where every individual is valued and celebrated. Additionally, the plays a pivotal role in broadening access to the insurance sector through talent pipeline programs designed for students from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
To identify the most effective DE&I programs, the Insurance Business America research team invited firms to share their DE&I initiatives from the past 12 months, conducted one-on-one interviews with DE&I professionals to determine which companies met or exceeded expectations, and contacted the companies鈥� employees to gauge the effectiveness of the programs. Companies scoring 4.0 or higher on a scale of 1 to 5 were recognized as 5-Star DE&I programs.
